And why wouldn't she be? Anne-Gail possesses especially two attributes that will take her a long way: a very strong work ethic, and mental toughness during critical moments.
A third-grade student at P.S. 116, Anne-Gail has attended chess classes for a few years now. After losing her first two games in the 2006 State Championships, undaunted, she won her last four! And she was part of the team that captured P.S. 116's third national championship titile in Denver. In class, Anne-Gail understands even complex concepts very well, and always wants to win in games with her classmates. She also works hard at home, and you can bet that if you give her an assignment, she will have it completed the next time you see her! When the game is not on, Anne-Gail is very friendly and gets along well with her own classmates, and students younger and older than she.
Look for special things to come!
