OUR STUDENT: LAUREN SIMPSON

Lauren is a 2nd grade student from Horace Mann School, and has been one of our students since she was in kindergarten. She has already competed in many chess tournaments in New York City and last year participated in the State Championships.

She is a very good student in school, and we can see why: she has a fantastic attention span and is excellently behaved. All of the chess teachers enjoy having her in their group because of this!

Lauren regularly attends NYChessKids camps and loves watching movies during breaks. One of her favorites is "High School Musical."

In addition to chess, Lauren also practices ballet, karate and other activities.

This week Lauren is preparing for the P.S. 116 Tournament. We are sure that RIGHT NOW she is working on her puzzles to get ready...
