INTERESTING DRAW IN GAME 3, KRAMNIK LEADS 2.5-0.5

After taking a 2-0 lead, Vladimir Kramnik was hoping to land a knockout in Game 3 against his resourceful opponent, FIDE Champion Veselin Topalov. Kramnik returned to his solid-but-dangerous Catalan and maintained a clear advantage into the endgame. Topalov was able to create strong counterchances, and not wanting to press too much and give Topalov a chance to score a full point, Kramnik found a forced draw by perpetual check before the first time control.

Game 4 is Wednesday at 7am Eastern Time.
