MATTHEW AND DANIEL: STARS IN THE MAKING

Matthew Levy and Daniel Levy are two brothers who have begun their ascent in New York scholastic chess. They are good kids and work hard to improve their game. Their mother Lisa encourages their progress and makes sure they keep working!

Daniel is in Kindergarten, has already attended many chess camps, and last week captured 2nd Place in the Kindergarten section of the Columbia Grammar tournament in an impressive performance. He attends Ramaz School in Manhattan, a school with a long chess tradition and a history of hosting many scholastic tournaments.

Matthew is in the Third Grade, and also atttends Ramaz. He kicked off his 2006-2007 tournament season at Columbia Grammar as well—and went 4-0 in the 3rd Grade section to take home clear 1st Place in a dominating performace, raising his rating from 612 to 835!
We expect to see more and more excellent results from these two as the years go on!
