2007 National Elementary (K-6) Championships

A couple of weeks ago, the 2007 National Elementary (K-6) Championships concluded in Nashville, Tennessee. As many people know, "the Nationals" are an individual-team event, where everyone plays individually, and children from the same school playing in the same section count as a team. The top four scorers from one school count as a team.

Below are a summary of the results in the four Championship sections.

We are happy to report that one of NYChessKids's students, Kadhir Pillai of P.S. 116 (see photo) finished in clear first place in the K-1 Championship, recording a perfect 7-0 score! Congratulations, Kadhir!
